Forged in the disciplined madness of uncompromising craftsmanship, the new Evoluzion MX40 is more than just a rod – it is the legacy of 25 years of innovation. Let us travel back a quarter of a century and witness the birth of an icon: Destroyer Evoluzion.

Based on the legendary blank designs and components of the Megabass Destroyer series, ITO Engineering achieved a technological breakthrough: the integration of titanium fibres into the carbon-graphite structure of the first generation. This opened the door to a completely new dimension of rod technology.

Every Evoluzion generation differed radically from its predecessor: highest-modulus blanks, an unmistakably supple, torque-strong backbone – defined by the reactive elasticity of titanium. This groundbreaking combination of power, sensitivity and ergonomics became the answer to the demands of professional tournament anglers.

Now, 25 years later, ITO Engineering presents a titanium blank format developed from scratch. Designed to meet the ever-growing demands of modern bass techniques – today and in the future.

Through the use of ultra-low-resin, high-modulus MX40 carbon-graphite combined with the finest micro titanium fibres of shape-memory super titanium, a revolutionary composite with previously unattained tensile strength is created. The result: a newly developed titanium shaft with over 17% higher bending capacity, offering a powerful balance of stiffness and elastic flexibility.

The improved shape-memory properties of the super titanium increase vibration transmission with metallic clarity and sharpen the sensitivity of the torque-dependent shaft – for even more precise feedback underwater.

The latest Evoluzion generation redefines “underwater clarity”, significantly extends versatility with fast presentations and at the same time offers a tension-charged, determined hook-set – ideal for dense structure, jigs and Texas rigs. A new stage of evolution for the legacy of the Evoluzion.

ITO Engineering’s long-developed Human Tackle Interface (HTI) – based on multidimensional ergonomic principles – is now realised through innovations such as the new Slant Bridge (PAT.P) and the Head Locking System (PAT.). They provide unprecedented comfort in every movement and make the rod an extension of the body.
