The Sakamata Shad is an innovative stick bait that creates a unique “bouncing dart” movement with its side keels – much like a fleeing baitfish that breaks away on hook contact or jumps to the surface. This natural action appeals directly to the hunting instinct of bass.

Realistic escape movement – perfect for no-sinker and rig variants

No-sinker rig: on the retrieve, the Sakamata Shad imitates the escape behaviour of freshwater fish such as ayu or lotus fish, which flee frantically to the surface and occasionally leap explosively out of the water.
Drop shot & Carolina rig: even near the bottom, the lure produces sudden, reactive movements – as if a startled fish had noticed something and bolted off the bottom in one leap. These impulses trigger reflex bites – even from passive or cautious bass.
