Specialised PE line for swimbait fishing

The VARIVAS SWIMBAIT PE SMP X8 was developed specifically for fishing with heavy swimbaits. Its powerful SMP fibres offer exceptional strength, high durability and precise lure control.

Outstanding strength, durability and control

Thanks to the high-quality VARIVAS SMP fibres, even heavy swimbaits can be cast safely and powerfully. The high load capacity reduces the risk of line breaks, while the supple structure enables precise lure control – ideal for targeting trophy predators.

High abrasion resistance and reliable handling

The exclusive VARIVAS coating significantly improves abrasion resistance and protects the line from fraying. It therefore stays reliable even in hard fights with trophy fish.

At the same time the coating ensures controlled behaviour on the reel. On the cast the line follows the lure particularly evenly, which reduces the risk of wind knots and backlashes.

Dark grey signal colour with high camouflage effect

The specially developed dark grey colour is easy to see above the water surface. This makes it possible to reliably track the position and angle of the line even in backlight.

Underwater, on the other hand, the line remains inconspicuous and offers high camouflage – a decisive advantage with cautious target fish.

PE

The high load capacity, direct feedback and thin diameter of PE lines have fundamentally changed modern fishing methods. Since PE has almost no stretch, even the finest movements and contacts at the lure are transmitted directly to the rod.

At the same diameter, PE is about two and a half to three times stronger than nylon. This allows very thin lines with high load capacity to be used – a decisive advantage for numerous fishing techniques. PE lines are standard especially in big-game fishing, for example in jigging or GT casting.

SMP

The VARIVAS SMP line (Super Max Power) was developed specifically for fishing for trophy target fish and for particularly demanding use. The 8-strand braided PE line offers clearly increased linear strength and outstanding durability.

By processing specially coated Max Power raw fibres from VARIVAS, the MAX PE Plus becomes a powerful SMP PE line. It impresses with very high load capacity, excellent abrasion resistance and a durability about twice as high as conventional PE lines.

SP-V

The environmentally conscious, fluorine-free original coating SP-V from VARIVAS forms a protective film on the surface of the line. This reduces water absorption and material ageing. At the same time the coating improves abrasion resistance and allows longer, more controlled casts.
