Description
The reason for MSF (medium slow floating)
The suspending model (SP) of the “RUDRA” weighs 20 g, whereas the floating model (F) weighs 17 g. This means the floating model is designed to be highly buoyant. Both cast well even in wind thanks to the weight transfer system, but in gusty conditions the SP is clearly superior. On the other hand, the F is overwhelmingly superior in retrieve response and in quickly touching bottom and avoiding obstacles. The MSF is therefore aimed between the F and the SP, with a weight of 18.2 g.
The MSF uses 2 tungsten balls in the weight transfer system, roughly double the weight compared to the F. This 1.2 g difference changes the lure’s performance greatly. For example, even in gusty wind you can cast a long distance from the shore to a spot where hang-ups are a risk. Or you can make the most of the MSF where the weed tops are too low to use the F model. You can handle the MSF as you would an SP, because you can let it float and dodge weeds. In short, the MSF is another floating model that sits in the gap between the SP and the F. It works in many situations beyond imagination and proves its performance reliably.
Weight transfer system with double tungsten ball
The transferring weight of the F model is steel Ø5.6 mm × 2 (1.40 g), whereas the MSF model is fitted with tungsten Ø5.5 mm and Ø5.0 mm (total 2.74 g). The MSF therefore floats a little more slowly and casts far in the wind.
Honeycomb Super HP body
The side body is 40% thinner (compared with our other products). The honeycomb structure reduces total weight while maintaining strength. This technology, which surpasses the limits of ABS resin, delivers both lightness and strength. It creates a low centre of gravity and helps a quick swim start, brisk swimming like a real baitfish and good response.
Full flat body
The “ASURA”-originated flat-side concept minnow generates stronger flashing and water displacement than a round-body minnow. More than 10 years of data show its results. As far as suspending models are concerned, a flat side has enough capacity to carry the maximum weight (same total length × width × height), and therefore casts long.
The best lip for a jerkbait
A thin lip is not always best for every kind of bait. The MSF uses the best material and shape to achieve a flashing dart with roll action that shows its belly, and a high-pitch action on a simple retrieve.
