Individual Development Custom Rod

These rods were developed specifically for the biggest and strongest fish. That is For The Beast.

The line-up comprises power rods optimised for use with big lures. They were developed specifically to hunt giants and record fish that have so far gone undiscovered. These rods offer the strength and stamina needed to withstand even the greatest challenges.

Monocoque carbon grips

The hollow-structure monocoque carbon grips are manufactured directly for both the front and rear grips. They are laminated with an elastic tube and pressed. Thanks to the highly rigid and sensitive carbon grips, underwater conditions and the movements of the lure are transmitted precisely to the angler.

One-and-a-half construction

The PARADOX and FTB series are all fitted with a one-and-a-half construction. This is achieved by using carbon with different moduli for the tip and the butt. The result is a flexible and delicate tip combined with a strong, powerful butt that offers excellent load-bearing capacity.

Surface gloss of the rods

ID rods are sanded so that the blank gets a unique gloss with a pattern. They consist essentially of 0° and 90° carbon. During the manufacturing process the surface of the carbon is shaved. The different orientations of the carbon fibres lead to uneven light reflections, which has no influence on the rod’s performance. Although a coat of paint could hide this appearance, it is deliberately avoided in favour of lightness and sensitivity.

Non-slip grip structure (PAT.P)

The new grip design used on the 2022 ID rods dispenses with sound-absorbing materials such as EVA or cork, octopus threads, sealing or additional adhesive. This achieves extremely high sensitivity. Because the blank is gripped directly, it offers high torque and does not block when swinging heavy, large lures. The grip remains absolutely non-slip even when wet. This grip design sets new standards and represents the innovative anti-slip design of the mould.
