The Airdrive revolution now in the 25 Caldia too!

The Air Drive Design – an innovative concept that gives the angler maximum control over the lure – has finally been integrated into the Caldia series as well. The main components, body and rotor, are made of ZAION V, a material that captures the essence of ZAION and delivers maximum lightness and rigidity. Experience Daiwa quality on a new level: by combining the two most important technologies for small spinning reels – the Air Drive Design and the monocoque body – the Caldia sets new standards in its class.

FC – Finesse Custom, LT – Light Tough

The 25 Caldia optimises the performance and quality it has long been famous for and takes this series to a new level: exceptional lightness, outstanding build quality and durability and, last but not least, a slim and elegant design.

The reel body is still made from a Zaion V monocoque housing, and the reel features almost all the technological innovations that characterise the Airdrive design concept. These innovations were first introduced in the top-of-the-range 22 Exist and gradually extended to other series. Now the Caldia too has been given the Airdrive design in terms of rotor, spool, bail and line roller.

The new Airdrive rotor ensures silky-smooth running and optimal feel.

The drag has also changed compared with the previous model: the ATD Type-L drag is extremely sensitive and responsive when it comes to cushioning sudden runs of the fish and braking more effectively. The new 5000 models have been added to the Caldia series and feature a drag geared to harder loads: an ATD Tough with carbon discs, developed specifically to handle big, powerful runs better.
