With the brand-new Silverado Prototype, Japanese rod maker Olympic Graphiteleader sets another milestone in modern rod design—successfully blending two worlds in one blank: the strength and durability of Torayca T1100G carbon fiber with the high sensitivity of Torayca M40X carbon fiber.
These rods are built from Torayca® T1100G graphite and enhanced with Torayca MX40 carbon, Nanoalloy technology, and Torzite guides with titanium frames—delivering exceptional bite detection while maintaining outstanding long-term durability. Graphiteleader combines its Quattro Graphite Cloth and G-MAPS construction with Torayca T1100G, Torayca MX40, and Nanoalloy development in the Silverado Prototype series. The result is an ultra-light rod (around 100 grams) with the kind of sensitivity that lets you feel even the most subtle bites.
The new “Torayca MX40” material family uses Nanoalloy nanotechnology to orient the graphite crystal structure, achieving up to 30% higher tensile strength at nearly the same tensile modulus compared to conventional carbon fibers.
In short: power and reliability paired with light weight and true finesse sensitivity—engineered to help you perform at the highest level.
